Kodak Portra 800

In the predigital era I shot hundreds of rolls of Kodak Portra film. Mostly 400, but sometimes 800. A nice discussion of the two can be found here.

People, especially with sunset light, looked (looks?) incredible.

For two years I’ve had a partially shot roll of Portra 800 in my Cannon AE-1 Program. I finally picked up the camera and finished the roll. The scans came back today.

First, I’d say that letting the film sit in the camera for two years is probably not optimal. Second, shooting the film in bright midday sun is not a good idea.
