Our day trip from Siracusa, Sicily started in Noto and continued in Modica and ended in Ragusa.

While Ortygia’s alleyways, church facades and street scenes provided ample photographic opportunities, the food didn’t disappoint.
It’s not all food. We had some excellent Prosecco, tried some limoncello, and even had a cocktail or two.
Our holiday in southeastern Sicily included a day trip to Noto, Modica and Ragusa. August is a hot time to be in the area and likely keeps the crowds away.
We hired a helpful driver and learned some Italian while being driven from town to town.
