Fomopan 100 | Canon AE1 Program

We have not had many dark rainy days here, yet. Those are the days I like black and white. Film picks up the moisture, the inky blacks of street puddles, the sidewalk reflections.

Lacking the dark weather, I tried some Fomapan 100. I’ve shot it before. But only once. I prefer the Silberra. The Russians know black and white.

Anyway, here’s some shots from my Canon from a couple of days in December.

Silberra u400 | Canon AE-1 Program

Awhile back I declared Silberra u400 my favorite film after shooting a roll through my Rollei 35. I loaded another roll, this time in the Canon AE-1 Program. My opinion regarding this film is unchanged

We’ve had incredibly bright days. Where is the rain? The 400 speed film works better when it is a bit dark. Maybe overcast? Maybe after some rain? That’s what I had anticipated when I loaded the camera. It’s Seattle! It’s November!

Anyway, the following were shot over Thanksgiving break (the last week of November for those living in turkey free zones).

Volunteer Park | JPEG Presets | Fuji x100f

Climate change? Days have been so bright my Norwegian clock thinks it’s summer time. The cold doesn’t lie. Snow reports and 4:30 sunsets bring me back to time.

On Thanksgiving weekend, I wandered over to Volunteer Park. Once or twice a year I’ll visit the Conservatory. The grounds have numerous old trees. The water tower is over 100 years old now. I remember visiting it when I was in preschool.

The following were all shot with the x100f using in camera presets. Post processed jpegs with minor edits. Usually some cropping. I like square images.

I don’t know the names of the plants.
